​How I navigate from begining to end of a commissioned painting

It starts with a decent quality photograph. This can be sent to me in a digital file. Try not to use a flash when taking the photo.  This helps with the final painting showing better quality.  Sometimes a close up of the subject is needed to see fine details like eye color, and texture.  Next I block out the painting using an "underpainting teqnique".  At this point I will email you the underpainted portrait to verify that I am heading in the direction visualized. Once approved I will finish the painting and email you a photo of the completed painting.
